Dr. Ahmad was born in Texas and raised in Chicago, where she received her M.D. from Northwestern University School of Medicine. She then earned a Masters in Public Health at Harvard University, concentrating in maternal and child health, before deciding on a career in Obstetrics and Gynecology. She is a Fellow of the American College of Obstetrics and Gynecology and a member of the American Public Health Association.
